Panel Discussion at BioOhio to be Moderated by Rolf Benirschke

April 10, 2017

As part of this year’s BioOhio Annual Conference Rolf Benirschke will moderate a panel discussion on “Why We Do What We Do – Patient Stories.”  Other members of the panel include:

  • Ian Burkhart, Patient Speaker, Dublin Jerome High School Boys Lacrosse Coach, Accounting student at The Ohio State University. After being rendered a quadriplegic, doctors implanted a chip developed by Battelle in Ian’s brain that allowed him to regain control over his right hand and fingers
  • Matt Hiznay, Patient Speaker and Ph.D. Candidate at Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Clinic.  After being diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer at 24 years old, Matt received an experimental drug from Pfizer that led to a “miraculous” recovery.  (As a bonus and not being talked about a lot, but Matt will be featured in the new PhRMA ad going national on nearly all TV stations in early May-sweet)

BioOhio Annual Conference and 30th Year Celebration will take place on April 23 and 24 in Cleveland, Ohio,  For more information or to register to hear Rolf, go to https://www.bioohio.com/events/annual-conference/
